We are unique in being able to offer a truly fresh and stimulating physical activity programme for your children all year round.

girl gymnastWe offer a specially designed holistic health and fitness programme which is usually delivered for 45 – 60 minutes each week.   Our lesson plans are carefully structured and age related, supporting strong links to Early years Curriculum. As well as exercising, children are learning all the time about the benefits of exercising, they learn about their bodies, their muscles, about eating healthily and other “health” related topics.  In all of our sessions we promote positive attitudes towards healthy lifestyles and enjoyment of physical activities.

All of our instructors have sports and/or dance related qualifications so after a term of multi-sports we can offer sessions with a focus on specific sports such as ;

  • Athletics

We specialise in coaching younger children and we are dedicated to ensure we exceed Early Years standards, to guarantee your physical activity provision is truly outstanding.

In each lesson we focus on a particular skill and then play fun games and activities which put that skill into practice using colourful equipment such as balls, hoops, ropes, parachutes, hurdles, bean bags, foam rockets, tunnels, spots, balance beam, stepping stones amongst many others.

We are all very passionate about giving children the skills, confidence and enthusiasm to lead active, healthy lives and hope to share this with your children too.

What value would a Full of Beans Class add?

Our classes meet the Physical Development goals within the Early Years Foundation Stage and we have links with the National Curriculum for Physical Education. Classes will also add towards your Healthy Schools Status. We are fully on board with the “Every Child Matters” documentation as well as the Healthy Schools Campaign and the School Food Trust.  From September 2008, all child care providers will be measured by OFSTED against Physical Development Goals within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The World Health Organisation states that today’s children have a lower life expectancy than their parents due to obesity and sedentary lifestyles.   Over 20% of 2 – 5 year olds are obese and 14% overweight.   Many habits are formed by the time a child starts school so it’s vital that young children get regular physical activity to lay the foundation for good health as they grow up.

Flexibility

We work in local teams and do not aim to work within as many settings as possible.  Instead, we are keen to identify the nurseries/pre-schools and children’s centres that are keen to develop a long term professional and caring relationship who share the same aims and values as us.

We are also constantly developing and improving the programme, building relationships with parents, carers, nurseries and pre-schools to deliver high quality, flexible classes to suit individual needs.
