What Makes Us Unique

Our Aim is “To increase participation, raise standards, inspire, engage and empower every child to realise their inner Super Hero"

"We only started working with Full of Beans this year and couldn’t be happier.

Nicky has made the whole process so easy – she is very approachable and always so happy to help.

Mr Hayward has immediately fitted into our staff team. He quickly learnt the context of our school and has met the children where they are at in their learning. Nothing is too much trouble and his enthusiasm and passion for sport is inspiring to all.

He is a wonderful role model to the children and they are loving their PE lessons and are making lots of progress. He teaches through from Foundation 1 to Year 6 and both the children and staff are benefiting from his wonderful skills and knowledge. His impact is already far reaching and we only wish we had started working with

Full of Beans sooner"

Our Mission

At Full of Beans we place the emotional and physical well being of children at the very heart of our business and we form loyal, close relationships with our schools, nurseries, and families.

We believe that young children develop best through FUN, ACTIVE, PROGRESSIVE learning; as such we give them a toolbox which provides the foundation for a healthy lifestyle to serve them for many years to come.

Vision Statement

Inspiring children in our communities to understand that physical activity is FUN and there is something for everyone. Helping families realise the positive, direct impact it has on our emotional health.

Share this vision to reach as many children as we can across the UK through our proven franchise model.

INSPIRE

Here at Full of Beans, we want to inspire to fall in love with moving their bodies.   If children are having FUN they are much more likely to get their recommended 60 minutes a day of exercise and then likely to carry on into adulthood.   We want to inspire long term change in children's behaviours towards physical activity and allow them to experience a variety of opportunities on their journey.

ENGAGE

At Full of Beans, our team encourages children to participate (regardless of ability) to enjoy the feeling we get from learning something new, moving our bodies and to understand the benefits of physical activity.    There has been a huge increase in child obesity, to tackle this we need to change children's attitudes towards being active.  Not only can sport and fitness keep children physically healthy, it will help with emotional and mental health as well.

EMPOWER

Full of Beans empowers children to enjoy physical activity and succeed.   Empowered children have increased self-confidence and are keen to develop their own skills.   This will help them make better choices and give them tools they have learned to create a healthy lifestyle which will serve them for many years to come.

THE FULL OF BEANS FITNESS TEAM

Full of Beans Fitness Ltd was incorporated in 2008 by Nicky Adams.   Nicky was a specialist sports coach, she understood that if children had positive experiences of sport and fitness when young, they would enjoy a lifelong involvement in sport and physical activity.    Nicky created Full of Beans Fitness to provide as many children as possible the confidence, motivation and skills to embark on a healthy, active and fun lifestyle.

All of our team members are carefully selected and fully trained to ensure the best experience for children, schools and families.   The safety and welfare of the children always comes first.  Our team are selected using the Safer Recruitment guidelines, and chosen for their passion for the health and well-being of children.

WHAT MY CUSTOMERS SAY

During the year Full of Beans supports us in lots of different aspects of PE and School Sport, helping our children to become more physically active and confident in their lessons and outside it too. Starting with our reception children Lauren supports the delivery of their PE lessons and works closely alongside the class teacher to provide CPD and fun lessons for all of the children to access.

Lauren also is an integral part of our dance curriculum as she supports all of the teachers in their delivery of dance within their chosen topic. These lessons are fun, engaging and a big confidence booster for a lot of our children. Lauren ensures a high standard for teaching and learning.

Last academic year Full of Beans delivered a ‘Mini Mermaids’ programme to target girls in years 3&4 (inactive, least engaged in PE/sport, Pupil Premium or children with confidence issues) and they learned about mindfulness, increasing their self-confidence, tackling low self-esteem, self-compassion, setting goals and the value of exercise.   Mini Mermaids children participated in a 5KM challenge at the end with their fellow class mates cheering them along.

Full of Beans is also essential to our after school programme as they provide coaches which deliver extra curricular sport to our children such as:  cheerleading, tennis, dance, basketball, dance, dodgeball, mini Olympics, tag rugby. These sessions are inclusive and provide a platform for our children to thrive in some more competitive environments .

PE Co-ordinator at St Andrews Primary School

Working with Lauren and all the coaches from Full of Beans, has helped us to increase participation in physical activity for all our children. Lunchtimes are a hive of activity now with Active Play Leaders leading a range of games and sports. The children have told us what Lunchtime clubs they would like and Lauren and her team have facilitated this with ease. The Mini Mermaid program has helped to improve resilience and self-esteem for a group of our less confident girls and we are looking forward to repeating this with the Young Tritons project for boys.

Lauren works closely with our school to ensure that the opportunities provided are developing resilience, confidence and independence in our children as well as teaching them how to keep physically and mentally healthy. We can’t wait to continue working with Lauren and her team in the year ahead.
