Our Goal

"To increase participation, raise standards, inspire, engage and empower every child to realise their inner Super Hero"

Nicky Adams, Founder

Our Programmes

We aim to:

INSPIRE

Fun increases the likelihood that children will achieve the recommended 60 minutes of daily exercise, helping to build lifelong healthy habits. Our goal is to positively change children’s attitudes towards physical activity by providing various enjoyable experiences and opportunities.

We aim to:

ENGAGE

We provide schools, parents, and children with the skills to incorporate physical activity into daily life. With rising child obesity rates, it's crucial to raise standards for all. Sport and fitness promote not just physical health but also emotional and mental well-being.

We aim to:

EMPOWER

Empowered children gain self-confidence and are eager to develop their skills. This helps them make better choices and provides tools for a healthy lifestyle that will benefit them for years.

Nicky Adams - Our Founder

My name is Nicky and I founded Full of Beans over 15 years ago now. As a specialist sports coach I could see that if children had a positive experience of sport and fitness when they were young, it could lead to a lifetime of love in sport and physical activity.

I created Full of Beans to give as many children as a possible the confidence, motivation and skills to embark on a healthy, active and fun lifestyle.

As well as overseeing the Full of beans franchise and growing the team, I even help at clubs and classes in the North West too.

Our Head Office Team

Nicky Adams, CEO, Founder

As the Founder and CEO of Full of Beans, I’m proud to lead a passionate team committed to improving children’s physical, emotional, and social wellbeing through high-quality physical activity programmes. With a background in business and psychology, I created Full of Beans to bring something fresh, inclusive, and impactful to schools and communities.

Our work is built around the belief that every child deserves to feel confident, capable, and energised through movement. From launching our award-winning Super Beans wellbeing programme to expanding our reach through franchising, I focus on ensuring that everything we deliver is meaningful, consistent, and aligned with our values.

As a hands-on leader, I work closely with schools, partners, and our team to shape strategy, develop sustainable growth, and maintain the high standards we’re known for. Full of Beans is more than just a business—it’s a mission to help every child thrive.

Charlotte Mason, Operations Manager

As Operations Manager at Full of Beans, I oversee the strategic and day-to-day operations of our programmes across schools and communities. With over 20 years of experience in the sports and education sector, I bring a strong focus on quality assurance, operational systems, and long-term business development.

My background as a competitive gymnast—representing my club at regional, national, and international levels—shaped my commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. I’ve since coached children from pre-school to competitive level and managed a range of facilities and programmes within the sports industry.

At Full of Beans, my role is to ensure that our delivery runs smoothly and consistently, our systems support growth, and our partnerships with schools are strong and effective. I work closely with the Director to drive forward new opportunities and ensure we maintain high standards as we expand our impact.

Mel McGregor, Specialist Teacher & Cover Admin

As Full of Beans’ Specialist PE Teacher and Cover Co-ordinator, I play a key role in supporting schools with high-quality PE delivery and ensuring reliable, consistent cover across our programmes. With a strong background in teaching and a passion for inclusive, engaging physical education, I work with pupils of all ages to help them build confidence, competence, and a lifelong love of movement.

My role involves designing and delivering PE lessons that align with curriculum objectives, while also supporting our team of coaches with resources and guidance where needed. I also manage our cover systems, working closely with schools and our delivery team to ensure smooth transitions, effective communication, and continuity for pupils.

I’m passionate about ensuring every child has access to positive PE experiences, and I love being part of a team that’s dedicated to making physical activity fun, meaningful, and inclusive.

WHAT MY CUSTOMERS SAY

During the year Full of Beans supports us in lots of different aspects of PE and School Sport, helping our children to become more physically active and confident in their lessons and outside it too. Starting with our reception children Lauren supports the delivery of their PE lessons and works closely alongside the class teacher to provide CPD and fun lessons for all of the children to access.

Lauren also is an integral part of our dance curriculum as she supports all of the teachers in their delivery of dance within their chosen topic. These lessons are fun, engaging and a big confidence booster for a lot of our children. Lauren ensures a high standard for teaching and learning.

Last academic year Full of Beans delivered a ‘Mini Mermaids’ programme to target girls in years 3&4 (inactive, least engaged in PE/sport, Pupil Premium or children with confidence issues) and they learned about mindfulness, increasing their self-confidence, tackling low self-esteem, self-compassion, setting goals and the value of exercise.   Mini Mermaids children participated in a 5KM challenge at the end with their fellow class mates cheering them along.

Full of Beans is also essential to our after school programme as they provide coaches which deliver extra curricular sport to our children such as:  cheerleading, tennis, dance, basketball, dance, dodgeball, mini Olympics, tag rugby. These sessions are inclusive and provide a platform for our children to thrive in some more competitive environments .

PE Co-ordinator at St Andrews Primary School

Working with Lauren and all the coaches from Full of Beans, has helped us to increase participation in physical activity for all our children. Lunchtimes are a hive of activity now with Active Play Leaders leading a range of games and sports. The children have told us what Lunchtime clubs they would like and Lauren and her team have facilitated this with ease. The Mini Mermaid program has helped to improve resilience and self-esteem for a group of our less confident girls and we are looking forward to repeating this with the Young Tritons project for boys.

Lauren works closely with our school to ensure that the opportunities provided are developing resilience, confidence and independence in our children as well as teaching them how to keep physically and mentally healthy. We can’t wait to continue working with Lauren and her team in the year ahead.
